Scrap Club Meetings
Our Zoom meetings are held once a month on zoom on the last Sunday of the month (with occasional exceptions) at 7pm UK time/2pm New York time.
You will find the link to the latest meeting at the top of the list in this collection as well as the recordings of previous meetings.
Most of the meeting time will be for Show & Tell. Sign up to show your project (finished or in progress) by messaging Kristen anytime on Scrap Club or emailing [email protected].
Meetings last 90 mins. For the last half of the meeting we have different topics, sometimes instigated by members. If you have a special technique you would like to share with the group or a project of your own that you would like extra time to have members workshop with you sign up for a ‘special slot’ using this spreadsheet. Kristen will get in touch to discuss.

Current Group Quilts
At any given time there will be one or more Group Quilts that you can contribute to as a member of Scrap Club. This is optional and postage of your quilt blocks are at your own expense.
Postage Themed Quilt (Name TBC)
Our latest group quilt has a postage theme! It is meant to celebrate the way our international group connects with each other through the mail. So members can make blocks on any postage theme they like – including letters, stamps, envelopes, post boxes, mail trucks, etc.
I have provided a number of block patterns inside the instructions for those that want them but they can also do their own thing – as always!
For all the details on how to take part head to the instructions post inside Scrap Club here.
The deadline to send in blocks is the 1st October 2026 and this quilt will be submitted to the Scottish Quilting Show 2027 (usually held in February/March).
Just Wing It! Group Quilt
The Quilt will be assembled by Kristen and submitted to the Group Category at the Festival of Quilts (Birmingham, England) in August 2026.
Just Wing it! Group Quilt instructions are attached to this post (scroll down on the post and click on the attached PDF).
Deadline: The Deadline for this quilt has now passed. Update videos about the quilt will be posted on YouTube soon!

Propose a Group Quilt
As well as the main group quilt(s) run by Kristen in Scrap Club, there are a limited number of opportunities for Group Members to lead Group Quilt Projects. If you have an idea for one that you would like to take the lead on email Kristen at [email protected]
Quilt Alongs
Kristen usually runs 2 quilt alongs a year on her YouTube Channel. Each time there is a live quilt along there will be an extra Scrap Club session to discuss the quilt along and ask questions. You will get details of these sessions inside Scrap Club and by email from Kristen.
The Scrappy Side Quests Quilt Along has finished!

Swaps & Exchanges
Mini Quilt Swap
Scrap Club has an ongoing Mini Quilt Swap.
You can sign up anytime to do a swap with another member of Scrap Club.
You will be matched and given a deadline (5 to 6 weeks form matching) to complete your mini quilt.
You will supply a 3 word prompt for your partner and you will get one in return. You can use the prompt as a starting point for your mini quilt or ignore it if it isn’t speaking to you.
You won’t know who your partner is until you have both finished your mini quilts and are ready to post them to each other.
All the instructions and details are in this post (scroll down and click on the pdf instructions).
Kristen talked more about the idea of the mini quilt swap in a previous Wednesday update here.
USA Scrap Swap Box
Lisa Smith, one of our members, is leading on a rolling fabric exchange box for U.S. residents using a flat rate shipping box. You receive a box of fabric, you take what you like from it, fill it back up with good quality fabrics you aren’t using, and pay the flat rate shipping fee to send it to the next person. So it’s a fun swap for de-stashing and re-stashing without having to buy new fabric. All the details about how it works and the form to sign up are in this post.
Fabric Strings Exchange
Wendy Leland, one of our members instigated a fabric strings exchange a while back. Any members interested in making string quilts who want more of a variety of fabrics to work with can arrange with each other to swap ‘strings’.
Strings for this purpose of these swaps is no skinnier than 1″ wide but they can be wider. They don’t need to be perfectly straight and there is no minimum length.
Swappers can agree with each other how many strips they want to exchange.
These swaps are being done informally via the chat function. If you are looking for a strip exchange partner post in this chat group and also visit the group yourself regularly to check if anyone else has asked for swap partner.
UFO, Orphan Blocks & Fabric Exchanges
Similar to the strings exchange above you can use the same chat area to offer up your unwanted orphan blocks, unfinished quilt projects (UFOs) or even fabric you know you won’t use.
This is not a marketplace so please only offer things you are willing to give away. It is however reasonable to expect the recipient to pay for the postage costs. Please agree these costs between you and it is advisable for you to make any postage payments via PayPal. Only give out your address for exchanges if you feel comfortable doing so. Kristen Hubert cannot screen Scrap Club members or arbitrate missing items.
Chats & Discord
There are a number of chat groups that you can post on to interact with fellow members. They are all found here.
We also have a Scrap Club Discord Server which is mainly used for member to member socialising including direct messages and a Sit & Sew video chat group that members can use to connect with each other anytime. All the info about how to join the Discord Server is in this post.
Images & DMs in Patreon:
In the Patreon chat groups you can add an image (one at a time) by clicking the image icon to the left of the message bar. Patreon will not allow you to add an image when responding to a post of Kristen’s on the home page – only in the chats.
You also can’t add an image to a Direct Message (DM).You can DM Kristen here.
If you want to DM another member you can only do that through the Discord Server – see post link above.
Scrap Club Stickers
If you join on an annual membership I will send you a thank you card and a sticker pack containing 3 fun vinyl stickers you can use to decorate your sewing machine.

If you are on a monthly membership and you want the stickers you can purchase the ‘Confident Beginner’ and ‘I didn’t really measure…but it’ll be fine” stickers on Etsy and if you message me to tell me you are a Scrap Club Member (cause it might not be clear from your usernames) I will add in the ‘Scrap Club’ sticker for free when I post to you.
